Reading this deconversion story at HeIsSailing is well worth the time.   If you want more than just a quick snapshot of someone’s deconversion story then you’ll appreciate as he shares his insights and thoughts about each stage of his life and religious journey.  I felt like I was sitting down with a wonderfully written book as I read his story.  There are more installments to come and I can’t wait to read them!

  1. Brenda, I am so honored that you find my Conversions and De-conversions interesting enough to tell your readers about it. I am writing my long story primarily for myself, as a way of organizing how all these events in my life funneled into my ultimate abandonment of the Christian religion, but I of course welcome input and feedback from others. Yes it is long and detailed, longer than I initially imagined it would be, but I hope it will be worth it in the end. My only regret is that my busy life and lack of leisure time does not allow me to write articles as fast as I would like, but now the pressure is on to get these articles up a little faster! And may I say I am also enjoying your articles as well – certainly thoughtful and thought provoking!

Please don’t feel rushed! It’s obvious that telling your story involves a lot of reflection and thought. I wouldn’t want you to sacrifice the quality of that process for speed!
