Pondering a Universe Without Purpose

Thought this was an interesting read and likely to spark some great discussions.

[It’s a 2 page article so be sure to read both pages.]

      • My favorite book so far is on human nature by Edward O. Wilson. (I’m a geek when it comes to science, it’s worse when it comes to biology, even worse when it comes to human nature and genetics). Right after I read animal farm and it was amazing how much the two align. Other books with sentimental value are The moral landscape by Sam harris, The grand design by stephen hawkings and you are not so smart by David Mcraney. Do note that I’ve only started to read like few years ago which is why these are for the most part recent books.

      • I enjoy popular books on how the brain works (why we make the choices we make, etc.) such as How We Decide by Jonah Lehrer. I haven’t read it in awhile but I did enjoy The Moral Landscape. I started You Are Not So Smart and loved it so much that I wanted to save it for when I could read it out loud with my husband (I share parts of books that I just love with him and we discuss them.) But I got busy and didn’t get the time to finish it before it was due back at the library. I’ll have to take it out again at some point. Maybe I’ll have to do a post about what books everyone is reading!

  1. Seems like we have allot in common when it comes to books then (: It’s weird though I’m the kind of geek that prefers a lecture on sociobiology or a documentary with richard Feynman over gaming ._. Thanks for talking!
